São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates and the country's largest emirate by area and richest in oil reserves. Located on the Persian Gulf coast, it is known for its modern cityscape, luxurious architecture and deep cultural heritage.
As the economic and political center of the UAE, Abu Dhabi relies on the oil industry while actively promoting diversification into tourism, finance and renewable energy. Its sovereign wealth fund plays an important role in global investments.
City landmarks include the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Abu Dhabi branch of the Louvre and the Ferrari theme park on Yas Island. Traditional bazaars, desert safaris and the Esplanade showcase the fusion of Arabian character and modern energy.
Abu Dhabi attracts international residents with its high standard of infrastructure, safe social environment and tolerant multiculturalism. The government emphasizes sustainable development through projects such as Masdar City and is committed to balancing urbanization with ecological preservation.
