Located in the southwestern part of Jeollanam-do, South Korea, Jangheung-gun is a coastal region with a focus on agriculture, fishing and tourism. It is known for its rich natural landscape, historical sites and traditional culture. With an area of about 617 square kilometers and a population of about 40,000, Jangheung County has a mild climate and four distinct seasons.
Jangheung-gun has beautiful coastlines, beaches, and mountains such as the Deokcheon Mountain Range and Jangheung Bay, which are suitable for hiking, fishing, and relaxation. In addition, the county is home to several historical sites such as Jangheung-eup Castle and traditional temples, which attract tourists to experience Korea's rural culture and tranquil atmosphere.
The economy is based on rice cultivation, aquaculture and fishing, and is rich in seafood and agricultural products. Jangheung-gun also retains traditional hanoks and folk events such as local festivals and food festivals, providing an authentic Korean experience. It is easily accessible by road from Gwangju or Yeosu.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
