Hvar is an island and town in the southern Croatian region of Dalmatia, located in the Adriatic Sea and known for its abundant sunshine, lavender fields and historical sites. The island enjoys over 2,800 hours of sunshine per year, making it one of the sunniest locations in Europe.
The island of Hvar is about 68 kilometers long and is dotted with crystal clear bays, vineyards and olive groves. The town of Hvar boasts 13th century walls, the Hvar Theatre (1612), one of the oldest theaters in Europe, and the Renaissance-style St. Stephen's Cathedral. The Old Town Square, the largest square in Dalmatia, is surrounded by Venetian-style buildings.
Lavender, honey and wine are abundant on the island, and visitors can hike up the hilltop fortress for panoramic views or take a boat trip to the nearby Pakleni Islands for diving. In the summer, Hvar Bay becomes a gathering place for yachting enthusiasts, with nighttime parties providing a unique contrast to the historical and cultural experience.
Jieyang is located in the eastern part of Guangdong Province, in the middle of the Chaoshan Plain, with the Rong River running through the city, and is known as the "Water Town of Lingnan". As an ancient town in the eastern part of Guangdong Province, Jieyang's history dates back to the Qin and Han Dynasties, and it has a rich cultural heritage, with non-legacy cultures such as the Chaoshan dialect, Kung Fu Tea, and Ying Song and Dance being inherited here. Economically, Jieyang is the "Jade Capital of China" and the "Hardware Base City of China", with well-developed industries such as jade processing, hardware and plastics, textiles and garments, as well as an active private economy. In addition, Jieyang's cuisine is unique and popular, including Jieyang Beef Balls and Ping Pong Kuey Teow. In recent years, with the opening of Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport and the advancement of the Guangdong-East Intercity Railway, this thousand-year-old city is accelerating its integration into the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and has become an important hub connecting Guangdong-East with the whole country.
