Located in the central part of Yunlin County, Taiwan Province of China, Huwei is one of the important administrative, economic and cultural centers of the county. Geographically, it is in the northern part of the Chia Nan Plain, with a subtropical monsoon climate and mild seasons. The population of about 70,000 is dominated by residents of Minnan descent, with Minnan as the common language.
Huwei is famous for its history in the sugar industry, and was once the main town of Taiwan's sugar industry during the Japanese rule; the Huwei Sugar Factory is still in operation today. Attractions include historical buildings such as the Huwei Iron Bridge, the Yunlin Budai Opera House and the Contract Hall House, as well as the Huwei Centralized Cultural and Creative Park, which has been built in recent years. The annual Taiwan International Coffee Festival and Yunlin Agricultural Expo attract a large number of tourists.
In terms of transportation, it is connected to major cities in Taiwan via the high-speed rail Yunlin Station (about 15 minutes' drive from Huwei) and the Taiwan 78 Expressway. The economy is based on agriculture (garlic, peanuts), food processing and the emerging tourism industry.
Qiqihar, located in the western part of Heilongjiang Province, is an important regional center city in the western part of Heilongjiang, known as "Crane City". It is famous for having the largest wetland ecosystem in Asia - Zalong Nature Reserve, which attracts tens of thousands of red-crowned cranes every year, making it a bird-watching destination and ecotourism business card. As one of the birthplaces of the Manchu people, Qiqihar is rich in history and culture, with the ruins of Angangxi witnessing the prosperity of ancient civilization, and monuments such as the Shougong Ancestral Hall and the Longjiang County Yamen telling the story of the city's past. Nowadays, the city is based on eco-tourism, equipment manufacturing and green food industry, combining the beauty of nature and ecology with the vitality of industrial development, and is an important transportation hub connecting with Northeast Asia, as well as a must-visit place to experience the western part of Heilongjiang.
