The terrain is mainly plains, with the main river being Erren Creek. Agriculture and fisheries were once important industries, but are now gradually transforming into an industrial and commercial development area.

Local attractions include the Xingda Harbor Tourist Fishing Market, Lover's Wharf, and the Ye Chu Class A Ancient House and other traditional cultural buildings. The area retains many temple cultures and traditional folk activities, as well as ecological reserves such as the Kajia Wetland, demonstrating the regional characteristics of the coexistence of humanity and nature.
