Huishui County is located in the south-central part of Guizhou Province in China, belonging to Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, with a total area of about 2,470 square kilometers. It is located in the slope zone of the transition from the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau to the Guangxi hills, dominated by typical karst landforms, with an average elevation of 1,100 meters and a humid and mild climate.
As a multi-ethnic settlement area, Huishui has the Buyi and Miao as the main ethnic groups, preserving a rich intangible cultural heritage. Every year, traditional festivals such as the 6th of June of the lunar calendar for the Buyi and the 8th of April for the Miao attract a large number of tourists, and the unique Maple Dyeing Technique and the Buyei Eight-Tone Sitting and Singing have been listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list.
Huishui is an important agricultural product base in Guizhou, famous for "Huishui Black Glutinous Rice", "Money Orange" and "Niutou Brand Beef Jerky". In recent years, Huishui has been vigorously developing eco-tourism, and is home to such famous landmarks as Huishui No.1 High School, Jiulong Mountain Scenic Spot, and Swallow Cave. It is only an hour's drive from Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou, and is easily accessible by public transportation.
The Lianjiang River runs through the whole area, forming the spectacular Lianjiang Damzi Landscape Belt. Combined with karst peak forests, cave clusters and idyllic landscapes, it constitutes an ecological picture scroll that organically integrates "mountains, water, forests, fields, and lakes", and has been known as the "backyard garden of Guiyang".
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
