Located in the southeastern part of Shanxi Province in China, Huguan County is part of Changzhi City and lies in the hinterland of the Taihang Mountains, known for its treacherous terrain and long history. The region has a temperate continental climate with four distinct seasons, and agriculture and tourism are the pillars of the economy. Huguan is the main entrance to the Grand Canyon of the Taihang Mountains and boasts a national 5A-level tourist attraction, famous for its strange peaks, secluded valleys and natural ecology.
Historically and culturally, Huguan has been a military fortress since ancient times and is known as the "majestic pass of Ji'nan", with remnants of the ancient Great Wall and traditional villages remaining. Local specialties include Shanxi noodles, millet and walnuts. Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger. The city is located in the lower Niger River basin around the climate of the tropical desert climate, hot and dry throughout the year, the average annual precipitation is less than 300 millimeters. The economy is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, and the surrounding areas are rich in millet, sorghum and livestock. Diffa, as a regional trade center, undertakes the function of cross-border trade with neighboring countries, such as Nigeria, and is especially famous for the trade of livestock, agricultural products and handicrafts.
