Located in the south of Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, China, Huaxi is a municipal district of Guiyang City, famous for its beautiful natural scenery, rich ethnic culture and unique location. With an area of about 964 square kilometers and a population of about 500,000, it has a humid subtropical climate with four distinct seasons, and is known as the "Pearl of the Plateau".
Huaxi has a magnificent karst landscape, and its core attractions include Huaxi Park, Tianhe Lake and Qingyan Ancient Town. Huaxi Park attracts tourists with its clear streams, lush vegetation and tranquil lakes; Qingyan Ancient Town is one of the four major ancient towns in Guizhou, preserving the architectural style and traditional culture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties; and Gaopo Miao Township showcases the unique folklore and terraced fields of the Miao people. These attractions blend natural ecology with history and humanity, making them ideal for photography and leisure.
As a multi-ethnic area, Huaxi is dominated by the cultures of the Miao and the Buyi, and organizes annual ethnic festivals such as the "April 8" and the "Flower Jumping Festival", where tourists can experience traditional songs, dances, handicrafts, and delicacies. The economy is dominated by tourism, agriculture and light industry, with specialties such as Huaxi chili peppers and Miao embroidery. Conveniently located about 30 kilometers from Guiyang Longdongbao Airport, it is an important gateway to explore the natural wonders and cultural heritage of Guizhou.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
