Huanglong County is located in the southeastern part of Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, China, in the hilly and gully area of the Loess Plateau, known for its ecotourism and red culture. With a total area of about 2,752 square kilometers and a population of about 50,000, the county has a temperate continental monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. Huanglong is rich in natural resources, with over 80% of the area covered by forests, and is known as "the green pearl on the Loess Plateau".
Huanglong County is famous for attractions such as Huanglong Mountain National Forest Park and Mukezhai, combining natural scenery with historical relics. As an old revolutionary area, it retains the red cultural imprints from the Red Army's Long March. The local area is rich in agricultural products such as walnuts and honey, and eco-agriculture and rural tourism are its economic pillars. Conveniently connected to cities such as Xi'an and Yan'an via the G22 Qinglan Expressway, Huanglong is an important node for eco-tourism in Shaanxi.
Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger. The city is located in the lower Niger River basin around the climate of the tropical desert climate, hot and dry throughout the year, the average annual precipitation is less than 300 millimeters. The economy is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, and the surrounding areas are rich in millet, sorghum and livestock. Diffa, as a regional trade center, undertakes the function of cross-border trade with neighboring countries, such as Nigeria, and is especially famous for the trade of livestock, agricultural products and handicrafts. The city is culturally diverse, with Hausa, Tuareg and Kanuri ethnic groups living in the area, and is unique in its crafts such as traditional leather weaving and silversmithing.
