With a total area of about 240 square kilometers and a population of about 200,000, the area has a temperate monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. Huaishang District is mainly characterized by industrial development, with machinery manufacturing, textile and food processing industries, while it is rich in agricultural resources, producing wheat, rice and other crops. The transportation is convenient, with a number of highways and railroads running through it, and it is only one bridge away from the center of Bengbu. In recent years, Huashang District has been actively promoting urbanization, with rapid economic development and improved living facilities, making it an important growth pole for Bengbu City. The area also retains some historical and cultural relics, such as the ruins of the ancient Huaihe River wharf, adding to the humanistic charm.
