Located in the northwestern part of China's Hebei Province, Hualai County is part of Zhangjiakou City, northwest of Beijing and about 120 kilometers away from the center of Beijing, making it an important node of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei synergistic development. The county is famous for its grape growing and wine industry, known as the "Hometown of Chinese Grapes", and has famous brands such as Great Wall Wine. With a temperate continental climate and four distinct seasons, Huailai has a beautiful natural environment, and the Guanting Reservoir is an important wetland and ecological landscape in the area. In addition, Huailai has a long history, with relics of the ancient Ming Dynasty such as the Jiming Stage, and has served as a supporting service area for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, boosting transportation and tourism development. Same, the capital of Timor-Leste's Ainaro District, is located about 50 kilometers south of the capital, Dili, in the mountainous interior and is an important agricultural and transportation hub for the country.
