Located in the northwestern part of China's Hebei Province, Hualai County is part of Zhangjiakou City, northwest of Beijing and about 120 kilometers away from the center of Beijing, making it an important node of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei synergistic development. The county is famous for its grape growing and wine industry, known as the "Hometown of Chinese Grapes", and has famous brands such as Great Wall Wine. With a temperate continental climate and four distinct seasons, Huailai has a beautiful natural environment, and the Guanting Reservoir is an important wetland and ecological landscape in the area. In addition, Huailai has a long history, with relics of the ancient Ming Dynasty such as the Jiming Stage, and has served as a supporting service area for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, boosting transportation and tourism development. The economy is dominated by agriculture, industry and tourism, and is part of the Capital Ring Economic Circle.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
