Huaibin County is part of Xinyang City, Henan Province, China, located in the southeastern part of Henan Province, the middle and upper reaches of the Huaihe River, and at the junction of Henan and Anhui Provinces. The county has a total area of about 1,208 square kilometers and a population of about 700,000 people.

Huaibin, named after the Huai River, is a typical agricultural county, producing rice, wheat and other food crops, known as the "land of fish and rice".
