Horqin is not a country, but a historic grassland region in the eastern part of China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, covering Tongliao City and Xing'an League. Famous for the vast horqin grassland, it is one of the birthplaces of Mongolian culture and has a rich natural landscape and human heritage.
Horqin Grassland is known as "China's horse capital", the traditional Naadam Conference and Mongolian songs and dances are unique. The Xiaoyuan Cultural Tourism Zone and Daqinggou National Nature Reserve in the region combine grassland ecology with history and culture. Local herdsmen retain their nomadic traditions, with pure culinary experiences such as hand-held meat and milk tea.
As an important agricultural and pastoral area in Inner Mongolia, Horqin focuses on ecological protection and tourism development at the same time, making it an ideal destination for exploring grassland scenery and Mongolian folklore.
