Hopewell is an independent city in the U.S. state of Virginia, located on the banks of the James River, adjacent to Richmond and Petersburg. The city covers an area of about 28 square kilometers with a population of about 22,000 and is known for its industrial manufacturing and historical heritage.
Hopewell has its origins in the 17th century, but modern development began with the chemical boom of the early 20th century. The famous DuPont Company set up a factory here to produce nylon and chemicals, laying its industrial foundations. The city also boasts historic American Civil War sites, such as Fort Henry National Battlefield.

Located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, Satre District is an important administrative division of the country, known for its natural beauty and agricultural economy.
