Honghe County is located in the south of Yunnan Province, southwest of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, at the southern foot of Mourning Firmament Mountain, and on the north bank of the upper reaches of Honghe River (Yuanjiang River). Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan.
