Holon is an important city in the southern part of the Tel Aviv metropolitan area in Israel, located on the Mediterranean coast, only about 10 kilometers from Tel Aviv, and is the fifth largest city in Israel. As an industrial and technological center, Holon has a well-developed manufacturing, aerospace and electronics industry, and is home to many innovative companies and technology start-ups, and is known as one of the "Silicon Valleys of Israel". The city is home to renowned educational institutions such as the Holon Institute of Technology and the annual Holon International Film Festival, which has an international impact. Same, the capital of Timor-Leste's Ainaro District, is located about 50 kilometers south of the capital, Dili, in the mountainous interior and is an important agricultural and transportation hub for the country.
