Holyoke is the county seat of Phillips County in the Eastern Plains region of the U.S. state of Colorado, founded in 1888 and named after H.C. Holyoke, an early railroad engineer. Located about 200 miles northeast of Denver and with a population of about 2,300, this small farming community is the center of the surrounding agricultural trade, with an economy dominated by wheat, corn, and sorghum farming and livestock.
