It belongs to the district of Einsiedeln, with a population of about 2,000, and is known for its peaceful countryside and traditional Swiss culture. Hedgesville is situated in hilly terrain, surrounded by lush green pastures and forests, at an altitude of about 800 meters above sea level. The climate is mild with four distinct seasons, offering views of snow-capped mountains in winter and hiking and cycling in summer. The surrounding nature reserves and lakes offer a wealth of opportunities for outdoor activities, such as hiking trails that lead directly to popular attractions such as Mount Ridge.
The economy of the commune is based on agriculture and small-scale tourism, preserving typical Swiss farm buildings and local customs. Local festivals such as traditional fairs and religious events reflect a strong community spirit. Although small, Hedgesville attracts travelers looking for an escapist experience with its high quality dairy products and peaceful lifestyle.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
