Hequ County belongs to Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, China, and is located at the junction of Jin, Shaanxi, and Mongolia provinces and regions, and the northern section of the Jin-Shaanxi Canyon on the east bank of the Yellow River. The county covers an area of 1,327 square kilometers and has a population of about 140,000 people.
