Hengshui City is located in the southeastern part of Hebei Province, China, within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Economic Circle and the radiation of Xiong'an New Area, and is an important regional city in the North China Plain. The city has a total area of about 8,815 square kilometers, with 2 districts, 1 county-level city and 8 counties under its jurisdiction, and a resident population of about 4.2 million.
Hengshui is known as the "Famous City of Education", and schools such as Hengshui Middle School are the benchmark for basic education in China. In terms of industry, Hengshui has well-developed traditional industries such as old white wine brewing, rubber products, and silk screen processing, while actively developing high-end equipment manufacturing and modern agriculture. Hengshui Lake National Wetland Reserve is the largest freshwater lake in the North China Plain, known as "the most beautiful wetland in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei".
Hengshui has convenient transportation, with the Beijing-Kowloon Railway and Shide Railway intersecting here, and the Daguang Expressway running north and south. In terms of history and culture, Hengshui is the hometown of Dong Zhongshu, Wuqiang New Year's Paintings are listed in the national intangible cultural heritage, and there are also historical relics such as Kaifu Temple Relic Pagoda and Jingzhou Pagoda in Hengshui.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
