Located in the northern part of Dongying City, Shandong Province, China, Hekou District is situated in the core area of the Yellow River Delta, where the Yellow River enters the sea. The area is formed by the siltation of the Yellow River and is rich in wetland ecological resources and petroleum and mineral resources.
As an important part of the Yellow River Delta National Nature Reserve, the estuary has a unique coastal wetland ecosystem, and is an important stopover for migratory birds along the East Asia-Australia migration route. Every year, it attracts a large number of rare birds such as Danding Cranes and Oriental White Storks to roost here.
The estuary is an important oil production base in China, and the main oil extraction area of Shengli Oilfield is located here. At the same time, it is vigorously developing the marine economy, eco-tourism and modern agriculture, gradually forming a characteristic economic model of synergistic development of energy development and ecological protection.
The area integrates Yellow River, marine and oil cultures, and in recent years has actively promoted ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, becoming an important demonstration area for Shandong Province to implement the transformation of old and new kinetic energy.
Located at the northern tip of the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea, the Bay of Orientale (French: Baie Orientale) is the bay and surrounding area on the eastern side of the French overseas collectivity of St. Martin. Known for its long white sandy beaches and clear turquoise waters, it is one of the island's most popular tourist destinations.
Facing the Atlantic Ocean, Orient Bay boasts about 2 kilometers of curved beaches with fine sand and is dotted with coconut groves and resort facilities along the coast. It has a Mediterranean climate with an average temperature of about 27°C throughout the year, and the dry season (December to April) is the best time to visit.
The area is known for its water activities, including windsurfing, diving and horseback riding on the beach. Surrounded by boutique hotels, French restaurants and duty-free shopping centers, the area combines Caribbean flair with European culture. As it is a French Overseas Territory, the euro and French are commonly spoken, while English is widely spoken.
Access is via Princess Juliana International Airport (located in St. Maarten, the Netherlands), which is about a 15-minute drive from Orient Bay. Visitors are advised to take care of sun protection and beach safety, with strong swells in some areas. It is recommended to respect local environmental regulations and protect the coral reef ecosystem.
