Located in the southwestern part of China's Shanxi Province and administered by Yuncheng City, Hejin is situated at the confluence of the Fen River and the Yellow River, making it an important node city in the Yellow River Golden Triangle region of Jin, Shaanxi and Henan. It has a long history, with cultural sites such as Yumenkou and Xue Rengui's hometown. The coal industry is the pillar of the economy, while the aluminum and manufacturing industries are being developed. The transportation is convenient, with the Houxi Railway and National Highway 108 passing through the city, connecting it to neighboring provinces and cities. With a population of about 400,000, it has a temperate continental climate with four distinct seasons. In recent years, Hejin has actively promoted industrial transformation and ecological construction to enhance regional influence.
