Montenegro County is located in the western part of China's Liaoning Province, under the city of Jinzhou, at the northern end of the western Liaozhi Corridor, with a total area of about 2,486 square kilometers and a population of about 600,000 people. The county has a long history, with human activities as early as the Neolithic Age, and is one of the important cultural birthplaces in western Liaoning. Montenegro County is mainly an agricultural area, producing corn, sorghum and other crops, and has a well-developed animal husbandry industry, which is the origin of China's famous "Montenegrin pig". In addition, the area is rich in coal and limestone resources, and the industry is based on energy and building materials. The transportation is convenient, with the Beijing-Harbin Railway and highways running through the whole area, connecting Northeast China with North China. Montenegro is rich in natural landscapes and cultural heritage, such as the ruins of the ancient city of Baichangmen and the Longwan Reservoir, attracting tourists to explore its unique charm.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
