Havana is the capital and largest city of Cuba, located on the northwestern coast of the island, and is an important political, economic and cultural center in the Caribbean. The 500-year-old city is known for its well-preserved colonial complexes, especially Old Havana (Historic Center of Havana), a UNESCO World Heritage Site dotted with Baroque churches, neoclassical palaces and colorful colonial residences. The old town's Morro Castle, the Plaza del Duomo and the Esplanade (Malecon) are iconic attractions that draw visitors from around the globe. Havana is also one of the birthplaces of Latin music, with impromptu salsa and rumba music in the streets, the aroma of cigars in the air, and a rich Caribbean flavor intertwined with revolutionary history, making it a "Pearl of the Caribbean" full of charm.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
