Hama is an important city in western Syria, located on the banks of the Orontes River and is the capital of Hama Province. Dating back to the Bronze Age, the historic city was known in ancient times as "Hamat" and was once a trading hub on the Silk Road. Famous for its spectacular Norias waterwheels, these 2,000-year-old wooden waterwheels are a symbol of Hama and were declared a World Heritage Site in 2011. Historically, Hama was a fusion of Assyrian, Roman and Arab civilizations, and boasts monuments such as the Great Mosque. An agricultural center that produces cotton, olives, and grains, Hama is rebuilding itself to its former vitality after the 2011 Syrian crisis, which saw intense conflict and damage to the city's facilities.
Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province and an important center city in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, was called Tanzhou in ancient times, and is known as the "Hometown of Qu Jia" and the "Famous City of Chu and Han". The city has a deep historical heritage, with monuments such as Yuelu Academy, Mawangdui Han Tomb, Yuelu Mountain and other monuments telling a thousand years of cultural lineage; it is also full of modern vitality, with an outstanding economic and innovation capacity as the capital of construction machinery (headquarters of Sany and Zoomlion) and the center of media and culture (home of Hunan Satellite Television). As one of the birthplaces of Hunan cuisine, Hunan attracts tourists from all over the world with food such as Stinky Tofu, Sugar Oil Poop, and Chayan Yueshi, as well as other Netflix landmarks such as Wuyi Square, IFS IFC, and Orange Island, making it a Netflix hotspot with both historical flavor and fashionable flair.
