Located in the northeastern part of Sanya City, Hainan Province, China, Haitang District is the core area of the International Tourism Island Advance Pilot Zone, covering a total area of about 384 square kilometers. Named after Haitang Bay, the zone boasts 22 kilometers of tropical coastline and brings together more than 30 high-end resort hotels such as Atlantis and Yanlord Crowne Plaza, as well as landmark projects such as Sanya International Duty Free City. As a key park of Hainan Free Trade Port, it focuses on the development of tourism, modern service industry and high-tech industry. With an average annual temperature of 25°C, it has high quality natural resources for water sports, exhibition and wedding, and medical care and recuperation. Same, the capital of Timor-Leste's Ainaro District, is located about 50 kilometers south of the capital, Dili, in the mountainous interior and is an important agricultural and transportation hub for the country.
