Haining City is located in the northern part of Zhejiang Province, China. It is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiaxing City, which is situated in the Hangzhou-Jiaxing-Huzhou Plain of the Yangtze River Delta, bordering Shanghai to the east and Hangzhou to the west, with an advantageous geographic location. Haining is known as a "tide-watching resort", with the famous natural spectacle of the Qiantang River tidal wave, which attracts a large number of tourists every year.
