Located in the central highlands of Eritrea, Ghala is a small, historic inland town about 50 kilometers from the capital, Asmara. At over 2,000 meters above sea level, the city enjoys a pleasant climate and is surrounded by rolling hills and fertile farmland, with a traditional agricultural economy that produces grains, vegetables and tropical fruits. Gula retains a distinctive colonial Eritrean architectural style, with mottled stone houses and narrow lanes that tell the story of the past. The pace of life in the local community is slow, with most of the inhabitants practicing Christianity or Islam, and traditional crafts such as weaving and pottery are still practiced today. As an important node connecting trade routes between the highlands and the lowlands, Gula, though not as prosperous as Asmara, has become a tranquil window to explore Eritrea's indigenous culture with its simple people and unexploited ecological landscape.
Songjiang, a municipal district in the southwestern part of Shanghai, is known as the "Root of Shanghai" and is one of the birthplaces of Shanghai's historical civilization. The Guangfulin Cultural Ruins have witnessed the civilization of 4,000 years ago, and the monuments such as the Yunmai Academy and the Drunken White Pond carry the cultural lineage of the past thousand years. As an important base for Shanghai's advanced manufacturing industry, the G60 Science and Innovation Corridor runs through Songjiang, focusing on strategic emerging industries such as artificial intelligence and biomedicine, and bringing together many high-tech enterprises. Meanwhile, Songjiang University Town is located here, with rich educational resources, and natural landscapes such as Sheshan National Forest Park and Cinnabar Botanical Garden reflect the modern cityscape. The convenient transportation network connects the central city with the Yangtze River Delta, making Songjiang a modern new city that is pleasant to live and work in, guarding its historical roots and revitalizing its science and innovation.
