Located in the southeastern part of Henan Province, China, Guangshan County is part of Xinyang City and is situated in the old revolutionary area of Dabie Mountain, a county-level administrative region characterized by agriculture and history and culture. With a total area of 1,835 square kilometers and a population of about 860,000, the county has a mild climate and rich natural resources.
Gwangshan has a long history and is the hometown of Sima Guang, famous for its "wisdom culture". There are many ancient monuments and red revolutionary sites, such as Deng Yingchao's ancestral home and the former site of Wang Dawan Conference. Gwangshan is also one of the birthplaces of the traditional Chinese opera "Flower Drum Opera", which has a deep cultural heritage.
The economy is based on agriculture, producing rice, wheat, rape and other crops, and is an important grain production base in Henan Province. At the same time, Guangshan is actively developing tourism and green industries, relying on landscape ecology and red cultural resources to promote sustainable development.
Gwangshan County has convenient transportation and a well-developed highway network, close to the Beijing-Kowloon Railway and the Daguang Expressway, connecting major cities in and out of Henan Province. The terrain is dominated by hills and plains, and the Huai River flows through the county, making the natural environment beautiful.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
