Gongshu District, located in the northern part of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is one of the central districts of Hangzhou and the core carrying area of the Hangzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. Named after the famous Gongchen Bridge, the district has a long history and a rich cultural heritage, and has been a major trading town on the canal since ancient times. Nowadays, Gongshu is a fusion of canal history and modern urban vitality, with historical and cultural neighborhoods such as Xiaohe Zhijie and Qiaoxi Zhijie, and characteristic exhibition halls such as the China Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum and the Museum of Knives, Scissors, and Swords, as well as modern commercial landmarks such as the Wulin Plaza and the Hubin Business District, making it the core area of Hangzhou's "Golden Card of Canal Culture".
As the new center of Hangzhou, Gongshu District has been focusing on digital economy, high-end equipment manufacturing and cultural tourism industry in recent years. With convenient transportation and beautiful ecology, Gongshu District not only retains the Jiangnan flavor of "a river, a street, a bridge and a square", but also shows the modern style of integration of industry and city and innovative development, which makes it a charming urban area suitable for living and working, as well as for touring.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
