Gongjing District is a municipal district of Zigong City, Sichuan Province, located in the southern part of the Sichuan Basin and the western suburb of Zigong City, with an area of 407.88 square kilometers and a resident population of about 270,000 people. As one of the birthplaces of salt culture in Zigong, Gongjing has emerged because of salt, and the name "Gongjing" historically originated from the ancient tribute to the imperial court salt wells, preserved in the territory of the sky car, the Salt Guild Hall and other relics of the salt industry in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and is the location of the "Famous Historical and Cultural Town of China", the Aiye Ancient Town, known as the "Thousand-Year Salt Town". Gongjing is known as the west gate of the "Thousand-Year Salt Capital".
Nowadays, Gongjing is a blend of tradition and modernity, with red cultural landmarks such as the former residence of Wu Yuzhang, as well as specialties such as Longdu fragrant pomelo and Gongjing black goat. Relying on the construction of Zigong National Cultural Export Base, Gongjing is promoting the integration of culture and tourism and industrial upgrading, and has become a livable urban area with both historical heritage and vitality in southern Sichuan.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
