The city is known for its viticulture and fruit tree cultivation, and the surrounding area produces excellent wines, with traditional winemaking techniques passed down from generation to generation. Despite its small size, Glaudeni retains a typical Eastern European townscape, with 19th-century Orthodox churches and old wooden houses dotting the landscape, exuding an air of tranquillity and simplicity. The local economy is based on agro-processing, but in recent years it has been developing eco-tourism, attracting tourists to experience rural life and nature. As the jewel of western Moldova, Glaudeni is an ideal window to explore the country's rural culture with its blend of nature and people.
