Located in the Kourou region of French Guiana, Tiger Station is one of the core support areas of the Guiana Space Center, the European Space Launch Center. As a French overseas region, French Guiana is located in the north of South America, next to the Atlantic Ocean, and its equatorial climate provides ideal conditions for space launches. The Tigre station is responsible for key functions such as spacecraft assembly, testing, fuel replenishment and logistical support, and is an important hub for Ariane rockets and new spacecraft before launch. It not only gathers scientific research teams from the European Space Agency, but also attracts global space companies, promoting local science and technology and economic development. At the same time, the tropical rainforest ecosystem around the station provides a unique sample for environmental science research, becoming a meeting point between space exploration and ecological protection.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
