Gaolan County is subordinate to Lanzhou City of Gansu Province, located in the central part of Gansu Province and the northern part of Lanzhou City, situated in the intersection of Loess Plateau Gully Area and the Yellow River Valley Terrace, with a total area of 2,556 square kilometers, 6 towns and 2 townships under the jurisdiction, and a household population of about 170,000 people. As the "northern gate" of Lan City, Gaolan has been an important node of the Silk Road since ancient times, with the ruins of the Ming Great Wall, the Shidong Temple and other humanistic landscapes within its territory, and the non-legacy culture "Gaolan Drums" has been selected as a national non-legacy list. Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
