Located in the northern part of the state of Colorado in the United States, Fort Collins is the county seat of Larimer County and is about 100 kilometers away from Denver, the state capital. Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains at an elevation of about 1,525 meters above sea level, the city is known for its breathtaking natural beauty and mild climate.
Fort Collins is home to Colorado State University, a research university that has infused the city with a youthful energy.
