Folonzo is a town in the southwestern part of Burkina Faso, in the Houet prefecture, near the border with Côte d'Ivoire. As a small administrative and economic center, Folonzo's main industry is agriculture, and its inhabitants are engaged in the cultivation and trade of cotton, peanuts, millet and other crops. Although the town is small, it has retained the traditional West African community style, with rustic mud-brick buildings intertwined with busy open-air markets, demonstrating the local flavor of life. The climate is hot and dry, with a savannah climate and an average annual temperature of around 28°C. The town is a popular place to visit.
