Fengdu County, belonging to Chongqing Municipality, is located in the heart of the Three Gorges Reservoir area on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, and is a national demonstration area for regional tourism, famous for its "Ghost City" culture. With a history of more than 2,000 years since the county was founded in the Eastern Han Dynasty, it has formed a unique "ghost city" cultural system by integrating the Bayu culture with Taoism and Buddhism folklore.
