Located on the west coast of Antigua, the main island of Antigua and Barbuda, Falmouth is a charming coastal town near the city of St. John's, known for its tranquil atmosphere and crystal clear waters. As one of Antigua's important historical ports, it retains its colonial architecture, and Falmouth Harbor in the center of town was once an important hub for the sugar trade in the 18th century, and is now a popular stop for yachts and sailing ships. Visitors can enjoy long stretches of white sandy beaches such as Falmouth Bay, experience water activities such as snorkeling and sailing, or stroll through the colorful streets for a slower pace of local life. Adjacent to Antigua's International Marina, Falmouth is both a vacation destination and an ideal starting point for exploring Caribbean culture, and the year-round climate is perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
