As Tonga's "Garden Island," Eʻua is an ideal destination for eco-tourism and outdoor activities with its lush rainforests, spectacular waterfalls and crystal clear beaches. The islanders make their living through traditional crafts and agriculture, and have preserved many of Tonga's ancient customs and dances. The island of Ea is also an important agricultural area in Tonga, producing crops such as coconuts, bananas and taro that support the local economy.
