Dukhan is a major city in the west of Qatar, located in the desert about 80 kilometers west of the capital Doha, near the border with Saudi Arabia. Emerging from rich oil and gas resources, the city is one of the core areas of Qatar's energy industry, with large refineries, gas processing facilities and petrochemical plants contributing to the global energy supply. Originally developed as a community of oil workers, Dohan is now an industrially oriented area with a growing infrastructure that serves both residential and commercial functions. Its unique desert location contrasts with the modern industrial landscape, making it an essential industrial hub in Qatar's economic diversification strategy, attracting energy professionals and international investment.
