Dominica is an island nation located in the Windward Islands of the Eastern Caribbean, with Roseau as its capital. Dublanck is not an independent city, but an important village and town on the west coast of Dominica, situated in the parish of St. Andrew and bordering the Caribbean Sea. The area is known for its pristine natural beauty, backed by the volcanic formations of the Mount Morne Trois Pitons National Park.
Dublank has a tropical maritime climate with an average annual temperature of about 26°C and abundant rainfall. Surrounded by tropical rainforests, volcanic hot springs and black sand beaches, it is the habitat of the endangered species of West Indian Manx Frog and Imperial Amazon Parrot. Its waters have a coral reef system, which is suitable for diving to observe tropical fish.
As an ecotourism destination, Dublanc offers hiking volcano trails, whale watching activities and Creole cultural experiences. The local economy is primarily agricultural, producing bananas and coconuts and preserving the traditional crafts of the Kalinago people, the original inhabitants of the Caribbean. The name of the village is derived from the French word for "white valley", reflecting the colonial past.
Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger. The city is located in the lower Niger River basin around the climate of the tropical desert climate, hot and dry throughout the year, the average annual precipitation is less than 300 millimeters. The economy is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, and the surrounding areas are rich in millet, sorghum and livestock. Diffa, as a regional trade center, undertakes the function of cross-border trade with neighboring countries, such as Nigeria, and is especially famous for the trade of livestock, agricultural products and handicrafts. The city is culturally diverse, with Hausa, Tuareg and Kanuri ethnic groups living in the area, and is unique in its crafts such as traditional leather weaving and silversmithing. Despite infrastructural challenges, Diffa remains an important economic and cultural node in the south-east of the Niger, thanks to its strategic location and rich cultural heritage.
