Fugu, Shaanxi

Fugu County is located in the northernmost part of Shaanxi Province, at the junction of Jin, Shaanxi and Mongolia, where the Yellow River meets the Great Wall, and is the northern gateway to Shaanxi, known as the "Three Provinces of the Rooster". The topography of the county is dominated by the Loess Plateau, rich in mineral resources, especially coal reserves, known as "China's coal capital". Relying on energy advantages, the county has formed an industrial system dominated by coal, electric power and chemical industry, and has been actively promoting green transformation in recent years. Historically, Fugu was a major border town, with existing monuments such as Fushu Ancient City and Ming Great Wall Ruins, and a unique folk culture, with non-legacy programs such as Errendai and Yangge inherited to this day. As an important node of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, Fugu is integrating energy economy and ecological culture to create a new model of coordinated regional development.
