Located in the northeastern part of China's Heilongjiang Province, Dongshan belongs to the extension of the Xiaoxinganling Mountain Range and is known for its high forest coverage and rich natural ecological resources. The region is administratively under the jurisdiction of Yichun City, with geographic coordinates between 47° and 48° north latitude and 129° and 130° east longitude, and an average elevation of about 400 meters above sea level. It has a temperate continental monsoon climate, with long, cold winters and short, cool summers.
With forestry and eco-tourism as its core industries, the Dongshan area boasts a pristine forest landscape of red pines and white birches, and is a habitat for wildlife such as northeastern tigers and horse deer. The area is rich in blueberries, pine nuts and other specialties, and in winter you can experience skiing, snow photography and other special activities. The transportation mainly relies on the highway network, which is connected to Yichun downtown through the G222 National Highway, and is about 80 kilometers away from Yichun Lindu Airport. In recent years, the local community has been actively developing green recreation and tourism, and is committed to building the "Ecological Dongshan" brand to attract tourists to explore the natural secrets of the Xiaoxinganling.
Same, the capital of Timor-Leste's Ainaro District, is located about 50 kilometers south of the capital, Dili, in the mountainous interior and is an important agricultural and transportation hub for the country. It is known for its coffee farming, surrounded by terraced fields that produce Timor-Leste's premium Arabica coffee beans. Historically, Samu was an important stronghold during Timor-Leste's War of Independence, and remnants of the resistance movement still remain in the area, attracting history buffs to explore. The surrounding area is rich in natural beauty and close to Mount Ramelau, Timor-Leste's highest peak, making it a stopover for hiking enthusiasts. A blend of traditional Timacu culture and modern townscape, Samu offers a unique look at the interior of Timor-Leste.
