Dongkou County is located in the southwest of Hunan Province, in the hinterland of Shaoyang City, at the east foot of Xuefeng Mountain Range and the upper reaches of Yuan River, and is known as the "Pearl under Xuefeng Mountain". The natural landscape and humanistic heritage of the area are intertwined: Dongkoutang Scenic Spot is famous for its canyons, waterfalls and caves; Luoxi Yao Township retains a strong Yao flavor and the architecture of footstools; and during the war period, Dongkou served as an important battlefield in the Battle of Xuefeng Mountain, and a number of historical relics have been preserved. In terms of products, Xuefeng tangerines and Dongkou tea oil are famous both inside and outside the province, among which Xuefeng tangerines are national geographic indications products for their tender flesh, sweetness and juiciness. In addition, Dongkou is also the "hometown of Cai E", the birthplace of Cai E, a modern democratic revolutionary, where red culture and natural ecology blend, attracting tourists to explore.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
