Donggang is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Dandong City, Liaoning Province, located at the eastern end of Liaodong Peninsula in northeastern China, bordering the Yellow Sea and across the river from North Korea, and is the northernmost port city along China's coastline. The city has a total area of 2,445 square kilometers and a population of about 600,000. It has a temperate monsoon climate with four distinct seasons.
As an important sea route in the northeast, Donggang has a state-level border economic cooperation zone with aquatic product processing, machinery manufacturing and tourism as the leading industries. Donggang is the largest strawberry production and export base in China and is known as the "First County of Strawberries in China". It also produces rice, aquatic products and other agricultural products, and the scale of shellfish aquaculture is one of the largest in the country.
Donggang City has the Yalu River Mouth Wetland National Nature Reserve, where millions of migratory birds stop by every spring, forming a spectacular "bird wave" spectacle. Seaside scenic spots such as Dalu Island and Roe Island are famous for their primitive fishing villages and seafood delicacies. The region has preserved the cultural traditions of the Manchu and Korean ethnic groups, and the Yalu River International Marathon has become a distinctive sports brand in the region.
Arba Minch, the capital of the Southern Region of Ethiopia, is located in the southern part of the Rift Valley and is known as the "City of the South". This small city is surrounded by mountains and water, bordered by Lake Abaya in the north and Lake Chamo in the south, forming a unique "gateway to the lakes" between the two lakes, which is an important window for viewing African wildlife. The surrounding Omo National Park is known for its pristine tribal culture and rich biodiversity, attracting tourists from all over the world. As the economic center of the region, Arba Mench is based on agriculture and fisheries, but in recent years, tourism has grown rapidly, making it a must-visit destination for exploring the nature and people of southwestern Ethiopia.
