Dzangue is an important city in Cameroon's Southwest Region, located in the highlands of the country's west, at an altitude of about 1,400 meters above sea level, with a cool climate, and is known as the "Garden City of Cameroon". As the administrative and economic center of the region, Dizengue is dominated by agriculture, with coffee, cacao and maize crops in abundance around the city, and its traditional market is the core hub for the trade of local agricultural products. The city is also rich in history and culture, being a traditional settlement of the Bamileke people, known for their fine handicrafts (e.g. wood carvings, weavings) and unique traditional dances. In addition, Dizengue is home to the University of Cameroon and other educational institutions, and is one of the educational centers of the Western Region, attracting students and scholars from all over the region. With its favorable climate, rich agricultural resources and diverse cultural attractions, Dizengue plays an important role in the development of Western Cameroon.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
