Dingxiang County is located in the north-central part of Shanxi Province, Xinzhou City, located in the middle reaches of the Hutuo River in the Xin Ding Basin, relying on the Taihang Mountains in the east and the Yunzhong Mountains in the west, and has been a transportation hub and a major town of commerce in northern Jin since ancient times. This place has a long history, it was the fiefdom of Zhao Xiangzi during the Spring and Autumn Period, so it was named "Dingxiang", there are Dingxiang Ancient City Ruins, Hongfu Temple and other national cultural heritage units in the territory, and the Xihetou Tunnel Battle Ruins bear witness to the history of China's revolution.
As the "hometown of Chinese forging", Dingxiang is globally famous for its flange industry, and has the largest flange export base in China, with products exported to more than a hundred countries and an annual output value of more than 10 billion yuan, which is the core pillar of the county's economy. At the same time, there is a rich folk culture here, with Dingxiang noodle sculptures and traditional social fires on the list of non-heritages, and unique flavors of specialties such as yellow rice noodle cake and steamed meat, combining hard industrial strength with soft humanistic charms.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
