Diepenbeek is a commune in the Belgian province of Limburg, located in the northeast of the country. It is located about 5 kilometers from the provincial capital Hasselt and is part of the Flemish Region. Diepenbeek is known for its tranquil natural surroundings and its educational institutions, especially the University of Hasselt, which has part of its campus here, attracting many students and researchers.

Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan.
