Located in the southeastern part of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu Province, China, Dianbu County is situated at the junction of the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and the western end of the Qinling Mountains, with an average elevation of about 2,400 meters above sea level. The area is famous for its magnificent natural scenery and rich Tibetan culture, with famous scenic spots such as the Zagana Stone Forest and the Lazikou Battle Site. The climate is of the plateau temperate semi-humid type with four distinct seasons, suitable for eco-tourism and hiking adventure.
The economy is mainly based on agriculture and tourism, with an abundance of Chinese herbs and specialty agricultural products. The local residents are mostly Tibetans, preserving unique folk traditions and Tibetan Buddhist beliefs. With convenient transportation, Diebei is connected to the surrounding areas through the G213 National Highway, and is an important node of the Gannan Tourism Loop.
Jianping County is located in the western part of Liaoning Province, China, under Chaoyang City, and is situated at the border of Liao, Hebei and Mongolia provinces and regions. It has a total area of 4,865 square kilometers and a population of about 500,000 people. It has a temperate continental monsoon climate with four distinct seasons and rich agricultural resources, making it an important production area for miscellaneous grains in Liaoning. Mineral resources reserves are considerable, mainly iron, gold, bentonite and so on. Convenient transportation, Beijing-Shenyang high-speed rail, Jincheng Railway and a number of highways throughout the territory.
Jianping has a long history, with Niheliang, the site of the Hongshan culture, located in its territory and known as "the dawn of Chinese civilization". Local specialties include Jianping millet and mung bean cake. Major attractions include the Niheliang National Archaeological Site Park, Tianxiushan Forest Park and the Yan Great Wall Ruins, which combine natural scenery with humanistic heritage and attract many tourists to visit.
Jianping's economy is based on agriculture, mining and manufacturing, and in recent years it has been actively developing new energy and agricultural product processing industries. As the "Hometown of Millet in China", its miscellaneous grain products are exported both at home and abroad. The county has a well-developed infrastructure and a sound education and medical system, making it a county-level city with development potential in western Liaoning.
